In November 2015, pioneering and leading VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) firm JetPack Aviation made history by launching the world’s first JetPack flight around the Statue of Liberty in New York City. Such was the success of JetPack Aviation’s maiden aerial voyage that the turbine-powered JetPack became the only personal VTOL vehicle to receive approval from the Federal Aviation Administration for public flight, not least for its safety and reliability.
