Joe Butcher, better known by the pseudonym October Jones, is an animator born and raised in Birmingham, UK. Having developed a keen interest in animation, most notably the cartoon works of Chuck Jones (a much-loved, Academy Award-winning cartoon artist/animator behind such works as Looney Tunes and Tom And Jerry), while at school, Butcher attended the University of Wolverhampton and graduated with a first-class degree in Animation.
He has since gone on to design BETT Award-winning learning software for children, as well as publishing several books based upon his hugely successful Texts From Dog, chronicling the humourous text-message exchanges between his alter ego, October Jones, and the guise of Cooper, his British Bulldog.
