In an unforeseen, yet astounding, turn of events, a family cat leaps to the rescue of a 4-year-old boy, Jeremy Triantafilo, who is being attacked by a stray dog while playing on his bicycle on the drive of his California home. The cat, Tara, instinctively hurtles itself at the dog and chases it down the street.
Despite receiving a nasty bite, which required several stitches, from the dog, the fearlessness and heroism of the animal prevented a much more serious incident from occurring. Since the incident, the CCTV footage has garnered a tremendous amount of coverage worldwide.
